Jammu, November 08(Scoop News)- All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) has taken a strong exception to the politically motivated approach of the state and central governments for befooling the Kashmiri Pandit Migrants which was evident during the visit of Parliamentary Sub Committee on Home Affairs on November 7 at Circuit House Jammu where Kashmiri Pandits were made to wait for five hours and then converted the whole affair as an open darbar to suit the political agenda of the government and the administration.
According to statement issued to Press, said that the state administration totally failed in its duty to effectively manage the affairs by making it a free for all event even after allotting separate time to several delegations forcing it to boycott the interaction with PSC members.
APMCC activists also castigated the state government for its blatant lies by mentioning the name of APMCC among those who had interacted with the PSC delegation through an official handout even as APMCC had boycotted the meeting and not submitted its memorandum.
They further declared that APMCC would write an open letter to the President of India about the developments of the day as well as politicization of the PSC interaction by adopting pick and choose method to make it a political event that suits the powers that be.
Statement said that this biased policy of the state as well as the central governments towards Kashmiri Pandits has taken a toll on the overall situation of KPs adding all this was being done to denigrate Kashmiri migrants by keeping them engaged to avoid addressing the core issues of forced mass exodus and other welfare schemes for the community.
APMCC said that this state sponsored show was politically motivated as both the state and central governments have always been adopting a pick and choose policy for any interaction with the powers that be which was also evident during last meeting with PSC at New Delhi where organizations working on ground level were ignored and interaction converted into a public darbar.
This policy of the government was to avoid discussion on core issues like reasons for mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, institution of an all India level Inquiry Commission on mass exodus, passing of temple bill, CBI probe into temple land grabbing scam, opening of Shardha Peeth University, dialogue with Pak for initiating Shardha Temple pilgrimage in POK, package for overage youth and non migrants and distress sale in Kashmir valley as it suits the political agenda of the governments in power both at state and central level, added the statement.
Meanwhile APMCC has also decided to interact directly with PSC chairman Venkaih Naidu and submit its memorandum to him as the state administration has miserably failed to utilize the PSC sub committees visit by turning it into a political show particularly in Jammu.
