CHITRAL: Miss Ummi Habiba a student of Chitral Model Degree College topped the district the matriculation examination by securing 774 marks and termed first position holder in the district. She attributed her success toward her personal hardworking, best management of her college and prayer of parents.
SMEDA. Arranged one day training workshop for local businessmen.
Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) arranged a one day training workshop for small (local) businessmen at Chitral under the chair of Tehsil Nazim Chitral Sartaj Ahmad Khan who was chief guest on the occasion. The training workshop was jointly conducted by Aga Khan Rural Support Program (AKRSP), SMEDA and district government of Chitral. Local business men were imparted training how to improve their business and how to expand it. Samat Hussain Manager SMEDA while talking to this scribe said that Chitral is a gate way to Central Asian Republics and it will be a big trade center in near future after completion of Lawari Rail Tunnel. He said that SMEDA imparting information regarding market value, linkage with other markets and business community, management of hotelling. M. Tariq consultant trained them in detail regarding professionally business development.
He said that local businessmen should to be prepared before completion of Lawari Rail tunnel as Chitral will be great trade center for supply to Central Asian Republics. He said SMEDA usually train local businessmen in Gems stone, Horticulture, Honey, Mineral etc. SMEDA appreciated efforts of Tehsil Nazim Chitral Sartaj Ahmad Khan for arranging meeting with local businessmen and imparting them training regarding business improvement.
