Are Russian spies active here in Kansas?

In this 1999 file photo, Oleg Gordievsky, a former deputy head of the KGB in London, prepares to testify before a House Armed Services Subcommittee in Washington. Gordievsky, who defected in 1985, told the Associated Press in an interview Tuesday that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev would know the number of illegal operatives spying in a target country and that Russia probably has about 50 deep-cover couples, and maybe even up to 60 of them, spying inside the United States.

In light of new information that Russia has more spies in the United States than at any time in history – It begs the question: “Are Russian Spies active here in Kansas?” Based on everything we know so far I think the answer is yes!

According to ex-KGB defector Oleg Gordievsky, there could be as many as “50 couples (100 individuals) working deep cover assignments in the U.S.”

Certainly under the circumstances it is reasonable to assume, at this point, that some spies are active here in Kansas.

One of the best ways to “counter” -espionage is to know the targets, and who is after them.

So I came up with a list of possible targets in Kansas. They include the following:

1) Ft. Riley – Home of the 1st Infantry Division.

2) McConnell Air Force Base – Home of the Air Mobility Command.

3) Ft. Leavenworth.

4) Wolf Creek Nuclear power station.

5) 184th Air Intelligence Wing, Kansas Air National Guard.

6) The new Bio Defense Research facility in Manhattan, Kansas.

7) The Aviation industry in Wichita.

8) The US Coast Guard pay and personnel center in Topeka.

9) Kansas National Guard units.

In talking with others in this matter, we should also include a list of possible HUMNIT (human Intelligence) targets as well. They include certain local and state officials, like the Governor of the State of Kansas, state legislators, the Adjutant General, and the new Commander of the Kansas National Guard, Col. Lee Trafanneli.

We contacted the FBI Counter intelligence office in Washington D.C. who refused comment on this situation.
