Will The Israelites God’s Chosen People Be Spared From God’s Wrath And Eternal Damnation
Many Christians and almost all Catholics believe that God will pour out his righteous wrath upon Israel and the Israelites during the last days, because they turned their back on God when they crucified Jesus, but, is their any scriptural truth to this belief?
Let’s take a look at what the Holy Bible tells us concerning this issue and question.
JOHN: 3: 16-17;
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.”
In other words, God desires that each and every one of His children be returned back to him should they so choose to accept God’s sacrifice through Jesus crucifixion as God’s sacrifice for all man’s sin.
This is where Roman Catholics and some Christians, fall short in their faith and belief. They do not believe that once you confess being a sinner and accept Jesus sacrifice, that their sins, all of their sins are immediately forgiven and washed away. They cannot understand that even when they as mortals continue even upto death to sin, those sins are already forgiven cleansed and they are sanctified in the eyes of Jesus and God our Father.
Even when they read God’s Holy Word, in their Holy Bible, they cannot grasp the fact that God’s Holy Word is fact is truth. They Cannot get that God’s Word God’s Promises to Man are guaranteed truths upon the condition set out by Jesus as God. God, Jesus cannot go against His Holy Will not ever, for that would make God a liar. That would make The Holy Bible nothing more than a book of Fiction with some historical data in it.
Let’s remember that Paul is personally chosen by Christ Jesus and taught and instructed by the Holy Spirit to serve as Jesus ambassador to the Gentiles as well as the Jews the Hebrews, the Israelites.
ROMANS: 10: 12-13;
“For there is no difference between Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord over all, is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.”
ROMANS: 11: 1-2a;
“I Say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite of the seed of Abraham of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.”
ROMANS: 11: 15-16 and 21;
“For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but, life from the dead? For if the firstfruit be Holy, the lump also is Holy: and if the root is Holy, so are all the branches. 21. For if God spared not the natural branches, Take Heed lest he also spare not thee.”
Paul is telling the people that when and if the Jews of the world reachout to Jesus seeking His forgiveness and salvation it shall be granted them. They shall not be cast away and forsaken, but the onus is upon each Jew to reconcile themself with Christ Jesus and acknowledge Him is Messiah and Lord.
Teaching this to my fellow Christians and Catholics reminds me of a warning, a commandment from Jesus that he gives to his apostles and the 5,000 followers in what we call the Sermon on the Mount.
MATTHEW: 7: 1-2a;
“Judge not that ye be not judged. For with what judgement ye judge ye shall be judged.”
Like I said earlier many Christians and most Catholics have already condemned all Jews, because of the actions of a few of their ancestors, those who handed Our Lord over for Crucifixion.
One last thing to take into consideration, if Caiaphas and the Sanheddrin, and the Pharisees had not committed this wrongful deed with Jesus as a sacrificial lamb, then Jesus would not have been able to fulfill the scriptures, therefore we could not become saved through sanctification through Jesus shed blood and we would be no closer to God and Heaven than our ancestors going all the way back to Adam and Eve. Jesus became the “Second Adam” for our sakes.
