PESHAWAR: Chief Minister NWFP (Pakistan’s northwestern area) Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said that security forces would not take action by themselves in Malakand Division including Swat only when they were being attack by taliban, while Sharia laws (Islamic Jurisprudence) would be practically imposed after establishing govt writ in the area.
While talking to mediamen in press briefing, chief minister further said there is no need to appeal any body to disarm, militants should disarm by themselves after announcement of Sharia. " we have consituted a task force for monitoring task force for implementation of Sharia and the Shari would be implemented only after establishment of complet writ of the government in the area", he added.
He further clarified that army would not carry out operation and actions by themselves but only retaliation to attacks of the militants, however we would use army in rehabilitation of Swat. We have a lot of work and federal government should also help us in rehabilitation process."we cannot tolerate any more blood shedding in Swat, the tourist spot of Pakistan", chief minister Ameer Haider Hoti added.
On the other hand, chief of defunct Tehrik Nifaz-e-Shariat Mohammadi (TNSM) Maulana Sofi Mohammad declared that member of the tehrik would not go to their homes till the establishment of complet peace in the Malakand division. He is expected to meet with the commander of Taliban Maulana Fazlullah. The people of Malakand division including Swat arranged celebrations and distributed sweets on this happy occation of Sharia Implementation.
