Arsene Wenger left Cesc Fabregas, Kolo Toure, Tomas Rosicky and Alexander Hleb behind as the Arsenal squad flew out to the Czech Republic for tomorrow night’s Champions League clash with Slavia Prague.
Fabregas and Hleb were rested, while Czech international Rosicky has a groin problem which could force him out for a spell, and Toure injured his calf but is expected to return for the visit to Reading next Monday night.
Wenger had hinted he may well tinker with his selection following the 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Saturday as the Gunners look to book their place in the last 16 against the Group H strugglers.
Theo Walcott — who netted a brace in the 7-0 demolition of Slavia at the Emirates Stadium — and Croatia striker Eduardo are in contention to start alongside Emmanuel Adebayor in attack.
Striker Robin van Persie (knee) and Philippe Senderos (back) are continuing their rehabilitation, but are around two weeks away from a return.
