Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is short for HKUST. The arts festival is a Hong Kong wide program. The HKUST Arts Festival 2009 is in this month, from 5 March to 27 March. It is composed of a variety of performances and events involving students and artists, including poetry appreciation sharing session, Western opera demonstration, visual art talks and exhibitions on Chinese ink art, oil painting, and poster art. Students can also participate in some of the interactive events, such as joint performance by students and professional pianist. HKUST Arts Festival is for everyone in HKUST and it is all free.
It is a great program for Hong Kong students and residents to enjoy the beauty of arts and music, and it helps to enhance the artistic accomplishments of Hong Kong people.
