ASEAN Humanitarian Task Force will stop helps for Nargis victims of Myanmar at July,1020, released on March, 8. It is released at 7th Meeting of ASEAN at Hanoi, Viet Nam; March,8.
Dr.Surin Pitsuwan said that there are still in neeeds of shelters, roofs. foods, safe water, occupational tasks, and also environmental sanitation at nargis-hit areas.
Then he also added main difficulties are sea-water flown into paddy- fields and now summer gets in and so drinking water will be needed.
Children at nargis -hit areas are in need to get education. Schools and aids also in need. At some areas, schools are still not rebuilt then.
AHTF has done mainly on coordination. So it has been no change if they go out, said one of village-man, Irrawaddy division.
Dr.Surin Pitsuwum said that US government aid about 38.57 millions of US$ for nargis towards Myanmar government, out of US$ 91.3 millions.
