Astrological Predictions On Market Woes

An Astrological Perspective On Where Stock Markets Are Headed?

Amazingly, stocks recovered to close up almost 250 points Wednesday on the back of gains in tech and energy sectors.

Analysts say that the reverse in direction emanates from a overt reaction to the Fed not slashing rates in the near-term to alleviate pressures from the credit squeeze.

Intel, Google, and Apple were the main winners.

The Dow closed up 247 points to 13,289.

The tech-heavy NASDAQ composite added 2.5 percent

While the S&P 500 moved in an upward direction 2.19 percent (CNNMoney).

Victoria Bazeley writes an interesting piece on the relevance of astrology in her post, “Stock Market Thrill Ride,” baby boomers have most of their money in stock markets.

She provides an astrological backdrop to explain the global stock market turbulence. Saturn has been in Leo for about 2 years, which is an indication that we’ve seen some fixed action since 2006. And it the signs will continue to be stagnant throughout 2007. That would mean the markets are poised to perform the way they are for a while.

As Jupiter enters Sagittarius, signaling optimism, she also expects a less volatile and positive read on markets for most of the year. I’m not clear if that “most” refers to the first half or the latter part of 2007.

Overall, she notes, a bull market, but nothing to write home about.

Toward the end of the year, Victoria sees Jupiter moving into conservative sign Capricorn, followed by Pluto – that signals volatility ahead for the weeks ahead. And then some indications of stability appear for 2008, with Pluto retrograding into Sagittarius and into Capricorn.

Translation: She expects markets to be bearish with big financial institutions sitting on the sidelines. This is consistent with what’s happening now since a lack of oversight in credit markets and lending may have been the coagulant behind the credit squeeze.

Interestingly, Bazeley speculates that pressures to subdue globalization, free trade, and the flow of capital in the long term. That could signal some protectionism, particularly in how Congress deals with “anti-yuan appreciation,” practices by China.

And by 2012, with Uranus squares into Pluto, another bear market ensues.

At any rate, Victoria poignantly comments, that the stock market is not a free-for-all in terms of a wealthy retirement.

Astrology, similar to the study of market patterns, is a study of cycles and history: “I have nowhere near the knowledge that professional stock watchers do, but I’m old enough now to have learned that what goes around really does come around. In wars, in life, and in the stock market,” writes Bazeley.

Profoundly Fascinating Stuff!
