When most people think about the Mr. Clean products, they think about the big muscular bald guy in a t-shirt. Just about everybody in the world let alone the United States should know who Mr. Clean is and what the Mr. Clean products are. Before Mr. Clean became animated, he was portrayed by TV actor House Peters Jr.
The role of Mr. Clean was Peters’ most memorable and most known role. He portrayed Mr. Clean for several years between the 1950s and 1960s. Soon, the name of Mr. Clean would become a household name. Every grocery store in the country one would go there will be plenty of Mr. Clean products in cleaning products aisle.
Nobody can deny the impact that Mr. Clean had.
Today, Peters died of pneumonia. He was 92 years old. He leaves behind his wife, Lucy, his son Jon, another son, a daughter, and four grandchildren. While Peters had played many supporting roles in primarily western themed shows and movies, he will always be remembered as the original Mr. Clean.
