An employee of Atlantis Plastics went on a shooting rampage around midnight on Tuesday, killing 6, including himself. The Atlantis Plastics facility was located in Henderson, Kentucky and specializes in injection molding.
Allegedly the Atlantis Plastics employee entered into an argument with a supervisor as he was leaving, then approached his superior with a gun and shot him.
He entered a break room full of Atlantis Plastics employees and shot several colleagues, returning to the plastics plant floor and killing one more before turning the gun on himself.
Atlantis Plastics has not issued any statements, though public officials hav spoken out. Henderson Mayor Tom Davis said, "right now we’re in shock." The town of 28,000 has never experienced a tragedy of this magnitude.
