Mansar-Jammu,India,April 24 (Scoop News) –J&K Panthers Party senior leader and MLA Harsh Dev Singh today described the acceptance of the proposal mooted by him and the passage of the amendment in the Inter District Recruitment Bill as monumental spectacular and historical.
Harsh Dev Singh, while addressing the mammoth gathering at Mansar today said that the Panthers Party had again proved itself as the champion of the oppressed and deprived sections of the society by moving the said Amendment and thereby assuring justice not only to the scheduled castes but to the people of Jammu in general. He said the Bill passes in amended for in conformity with the amendments mooted by him would ensure eight percent reservation to SCs in all districts of the state including ten districts of Kashmir valley and two districts of Ladakh.
He said that it would be for the first time that Jammu youth would be assured of a fixed number of seats for purposes of employment in the districts of valley and Ladakh with fixed reservation for various posts. He said, on an average atleast 2000-3000 Jammu youth belonging to SC would be absorbed every year in Kashmir valley and Ladakh districts as a result of the said amendment.
Speaking on the occasion, Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA State President JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal MLA reiterated the resolve of the NPP to continue their struggle for the cause of Jammu in particular for weaker and deprived sections in particular. They said the NPP had stood apart and above others by vociferously and vehemently raising the issues of Jammu people inside the Assembly including the issues of SCs, STs, Farmers, unemployed youth, employees besides continued policy of neglect of Jammu by hostile Kashmiri leadership. They complimented Harsh Dev Singh for championing the cause of SCs, STs in Assembly and in other forums including PM’S Working Group. On the occasion around 100 workers of BSP and other parties joined Panthers Party.
Balwant Singh Mankotia said that Panthers Party has always fought for the just cause of Jammu including Delimitation, Pre-paid mobiles, Grant of Dogra certificate to Jammu youth.
Other who spoke on the occasion included notable leaders of SC and ST community including Shri Amar Chand, Shri Prem Nath, Shri Mast Ram, Shri Madan Lal, Shri Gian Chand, Shri Balak Ram, Basharat Ali, Rajesh Sharma, Shri Pawan Dev Singh, Shri Raghubir Singh, Shri Kuldeep and others.
Eariler Harsh Dev Singh was accorded a rousing reception at Mansar by SC volunteers and SC and ST wing of the party for the historical amendment-moved by him in the Inter District Recruitment Bill assuring and safeguarding the rights and interests of the deprived classes in appointments. The massive rally that was attended by over 5000 people including the Panthers Legislators celebrated the decision as the victory of people of Jammu in general and the deprived sections of the society in particular.
