The new government plan for providing cyber safety, all Australian Internet users will censor the Internet and users will only be able to choose between two blacklists of which one for children and the other for adults.
"Users can opt-out of the ‘additional material’ blacklist, which is a list of things unsuitable for children, but there is no opt-out for illegal content," said Mark Newton who is working as network engineer in Internode Systems.
From the test results, the best Internet content filters would incorrectly block about 10,000 to one million websites. It’s been said that there is a big chance that these lists can easily be abused for things such as euthanasia, drugs and protest.
