Ayubia Cricket Team defeated Dangarikan deh team

 Tanveer Winter Cricket tournament ended. Ayubia team clinched Dangarikandeh team with 6 wickets.

 

CHITRAL: Tanveer winter season cricket tournament ended at polo ground Chitral. The tournament has been started from December 11, 2010. Some 75 teams of cricket participated in the tournament.  Fianal match was contested between Ayuvia cricket team Danin versus Dangarikandeh Cricket Team Chitral. Ayubia team defeated its rival team with 6 wickets and declared winner. General Manager National Highway Authority (NHA) N-45 Abdul Samad Chitrali was chief guest on the occasion who announced rupees 10000 for organizing committee, 3 thousands for winner and 2 thousands for runner up team. He stressed on the players to must continue their study and physically exercise both because a healthy mind causing for healthy body and healthy people is always intelligent. Talking to this scribe captain of winner team Umair Ahmad and Ajaz Ahmad of runner up team said that main objectives of the tournament was to bar the young generation from drug addicting as well as to provide them opportunities of physically exercise because mostly of your youth setting for long times in front of computer  watching movies and listening music which is harmful for their health. A large number of spectators were present on the occasion. The young players also demanded for establishment of a stadium at Chitral because they are still depriving from a public stadium.

 

Upper Chitral received snowfall.

 

Upper parts of Chitral relieved snow as a result vehicular traffic  suspended in the area.  Torko, Lutko, Shughoor, Mastuj, Shundor Top at upper Chitral and Madaglasht, Kalash valleys in lower Chitral received snowfall. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department some 21.6 millimeters rain received in last 24 hours while the figure was 15.4 yesterday. Supply of electricity has been suspended due to breaking of main transmission line at Lawari top due to snowfall as a result Chitral plunged into dark. People facing great problems due to shortage of edible commodities.
