BDR situation still in dark

Situation on BDR gun battle now is in dark.The mutinous BDR men had earlier agreed to surrender their arms after a two-hour meeting with the prime minister Sheak Hasina at her official residence. Mutinous members of a Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) agreed to lay down their arms and accept an amnesty offered by the government, one of their officers said. But border guards inside the compound began demanding through loudspeakers that the army withdraw otherwise, as they feared the military could "finish them at any time".

Members of the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) were holding at least 60 to 70 officers hostage after a gun battle inside the Rifles’ headquarters Pilkhana in the capital, Dhaka. Latest news is at least 15 soldiers of BDR & Bangladesh Army died in the shooting. The injured soldiers are taken to the Holy Family Red Crescent Hospital. Police said they had recovered the bodies of two BDR troops from a canal near the unit’s headquarters. At least 5,000 BDR soldiers were inside the compound in the Pilkhana area of the capital
