The LA Galaxy´s biggest grab has played a total of 24 minutes (including the Chelsea match). That is not good for any parties involved in this blockbuster move.
The ones that could be affected most are the fans. I mean the player still has to look out for his own health, this is his livelihood we are talking about.
I could picture MLS president Don Garber yelling Alexi Lalas to force Becks to play, based on a conversation that the former had with ESPN´s John Skipper in some backroom in the Northeast.
As we all can imagine, not having Becks at Gillette Stadium will be a disappointment to the thousands of fans that were going to pack the place to see him play. He is highly doubtful for that match and day-to-day after that.
Obviously not good news for football fans in LA LA Land, but it must be making England boss Steve McClaren a little uncomfortable as Euro 2008 qualifiers creep closer.
