God’s Promises And By Faith Believing
Do you believe?
In what or in whom do you believe?
Who does your trust and faith belong?
When Almighty God makes a promise to mankind, God keeps his promise.
He can do no other and still be God. This is made evident to us through God’s Holy Word in the Holy Bible.
When God says; I Will, or I shall, there is no If’s, Ands, or Buts, it is a certainty that God’s will, will be must be done.
This is why we know that God’s word is good and that God can be counted upon unconditionally.
Through God’s Holy Word, and God’s keeping His word about all things we develop our belief in God and our trust in God, and through our believing in Him, we develop our faith.
God Promises Noah
GENESIS: 7: 4; “For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights;”
God fulfills his promise
GENESIS: 7:12: “And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights;”
God makes man a promise through Ezekiel
EZEKIEL: 37: 12-13a; “Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold O my people, I will open your graves and cause you to come out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the Lord,”
God fulfills His promise
JOHN: 11: 25-26, and 40-41-44;
V25: “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
V40: “Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe thou shouldest see the glory of God?”
V 41 – 42; “They took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid, and Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, Father I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it that they may believe that thou has sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried out in a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth,”
Almighty God takes this promise to the highest level of a perfect promise, when after three days in the grave, God, raises Jesus Christ, God’s own son, the Messiah, and returns him back to the living as was witnessed by his followers.
We know Jesus as the Son of God, the Messiah, the redeemer, but to know this is not enough.
If one does not truly by faith “Believe” this to be fact, to be truth, then knowing it is meaningless.
Like Jesus tells Thomas, you believe because you see, but blessed are they that have not seen yet still they believe.
Knowing JOHN: 3: 14-18; and, JOHN: 11: 25-26; and being able to quote them verbatim is meaningless and has no value to a Christian, or one seeking salvation and deliverance from sin and death unless one takes these scriptures of Jesus to heart and truly believes in these Holy Words of God, Jesus.
