Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Football Tournament kicked

CHITRAL: First Shaheed Benazir Bhutto memorial district football tournament launched here at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed stadium Ayun. Provincial Minister for Population Welfare Saleem Khan was chief guest on the occasion who kicked the tournament by through the ball in stadium. Some 50 football teams will participate in the tournament which was organized by Wajidan Welfare Society Toryandeh Ayun. Talking to this scribe Murtaza Ali Chairman of the society said that main objective of this tournament is to save the young generation from drug addicting and abuse of narcotics. First match was played between Hoon and Broze football teams in which Broze team scored 3 goals and declared winner team while Hoon team scored only 1 goal. Chief guest Saleem Khan announced 10000 for organizing committee. In this connection a simple function was also held in the stadium. Where Nazim Union Council Ayun Rahmat Elahi, Zahir Shah vice president PPP district Chitral, Muhammad Hakeem Advocate General Secretary PPP and Saleem Khan provincial Minister expressed their views. They demanded for construction of protection bund on river bank to save the stadium from erosion. On this occasion the speakers also announced to declare (rename) this stadium as Benazir Bhutto Shaheed stadium. A large number of spectators were present on the occasion.
