Rajouri (Jammu),April 20 (Scoop News) –In order to train the engineering scholars in Robot Technology, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) in collaboration with Institute of Technophilia , certified by Robotics and Computer Applications institute of USA, organised 2 days workshop in College of Engineering & Technology at Rajouri.
The department of Electronics and Communication, College of Engineering and Technology, BGSBU organized this workshop on “Accelerobotix” in collaboration with Technophilia systems which has been imparting advanced robotics education to thousands of students across various IIT’s and NIT’s since its inception in 2005. The workshop involved insightful presentations and vocational training about the basic technicalities in the field of accelerobotix and witnessed huge participation from the students and research aspirants.
The workshop was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof Irshad Ahmed Hamal in presence of Principal College of Engineering and Technology, Prof Mohd Asghar, Principal Polytechnic Col K K Dogra, Special Secretary to VC Suneet Gupta and Head of Department Electronics and communication, Mohd Shakeel Dar in the University Campus Rajouri.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof IA Hamal said that in the era of Technology, the students of BGSBU are being exposed to the modern world and is why the institution collaborate this programme with International certified Institute. He said that the University is focusing on to produce best scholars and trained manpower for use as human resource for the development of the country .
Principal, Dr Asghar stressed on the importance of acquainting the students about the emerging trends and advanced research in the field of robotics and also deliberated to conduct more workshops of such kind in future.
The workshop consisted of many technical sessions in which the students were given a hands-on training of the robotics equipment by Amay Bhopi, Senior Technical Officer from Technophilia. The Head of Department Electronics and communication, Mr Mohd Shakeel Dar presented a vote of thanks to all the participants and urged the students to work hard and cultivate a scientific acumen so that they can be ready to face the challenges of the competitive world. The workshop was coordinated by Assistant Professor Vishal Puri, Assistant Professor Mehmood-ul-Hassan and Lecturer Manik Groach assisted by student coordinators Farhan Nazir Khan and Azam Shams of 6th semester from the department of ECE.
