Jammu, October 07, (Scoop News)-Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Culture, Youth Services and Sports Raman Bhalla today visited Salehar, Rehal and Deoli villages of Bishnah town and reviewed proper rehabilitation arrangements of border affected people being arranged of the district administration at safer places.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sahid Mahmood besides other senior officers of civil, police, BSF and army administration accompanied the Minister.
Interacting with the border firing affected people of Tarawa and Arnia villages, Bhalla assured that all help from Government will be provided by way of free ration, tents, power, drinking water, relief and bedding etc. He asked the officers to remain present in the camps where migrated families of Arnia village have been rehabilitated and come up to the expectations of the people by providing basic amenities to them so as to avoid any inconvenience. He said that the State Government is always with them in this crucial situation.
Expressing shock over shelling on civilians in Arnia village, the Minister said that deliberately targeting civilians areas is the latest design of the Pakistan and seems to be aimed at creating fear all along the borders in the State.
Later, Bhalla also visited Mashan-de-Kothe and expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families whose four members died due to hit by mortar shells during early in morning at 1.30 a.m. The dead have been identified as Rajesh Kumar, 30, son of Maka Ram, Kajal, 13, daughter of Parshotam Lal, Satya Devi, 45, wife of Chajju Ram, Parshotam Lal son of Laxman Dass.
The Minister expressed his sympathies with the bereaved families and assured all help from State Government in shape of ex-gratia to next kin of the dead and injured besides taking measures for their protection.
