POONCH/Jammu, August 19(Scoop News)- JK Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture, Raman Bhalla, flagged off annual Chhari Mubarak of Budha Amarnathji Yatra for Mandi from Poonch here this morning.
MLA Poonch-Haveli, Ejaz Ahmed Jan, Vice Chairman, Gujjars and Bakerwals Advisory Board, Bashir Ahmed Naz, MLC, Dr. Shahnaz Ganai, MLC, Yashpal Kundal, MLC, Jahangir Mir, District Development Commissioner, Shajad Ahmed Khan besides senior officers of civil and police administration were present on the occasion.
Amidst chanting of Bam Bam Bole, Har Har Mahadev, Jai Baba Buddha Amarnath ji , the Charri Mubarakh was taken out from its abode at Dashnami Akhara from Poonch town by 1008 Swami Vishava Atma Anand Ji after performing the Charri “vidya pujan”. About thousand devotees belonging to all communities besides hundreds of sadhus accompanied the religious procession.
Interacting with the devotees, Bhalla enquired about the facilities made by the district administration Poonch during the Yatra. He appreciated the people of Poonch for their exemplary unity and brotherhood and expressed hope that they will further help in upholding centuries old tradition of amity and goodwill with the same spirit.
The Minister also extended his warm wishes to the people on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Vishav thanked the organisations and district administration for their contribution for smooth and successful conduct of the Yatra.
As per legend, it is believed that at that this place Lord Shiva started narrating the Amarkatha to Parvati ji which ultimately ended at Amarnath shrine of Kashmir.
The district administration along with the management committee of Shri Buddha Amarnath has made elaborate arrangements for comfortable stay of the yatris.
