Jammu, July 18 (Scoop News)-Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party and Member of National Integration Council has condemned the killing of more than half a dozen innocent villagers of Sangaldan in Ramban District of Jammu region this morning and demanded high power judicial inquiry by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court so that the law-breakers could be brought to justice without delay.
Expressing sympathy with the families of those killed, the Panthers Party Supremo held the government of J&K responsible for this tragedy which showed that the government has lost control on the situation and what has happened today particularly in the holy month of Ramadan is most unfortunate and unforgiveable. This incident does not leave an iota of doubt that the Omar Abdullah’s government has failed and is not capable to maintain law and order.
In an urgent message to N.N. Vohra, the Governor of J&K, the Panthers Party leader urged for immediate dismissal of the NC-Congress government to save the people from any further death and destruction. He also demanded a compensation of Rs.50 lacs to the families of those killed and Rs.10 lacs to the injured persons.
It may be mentioned that Five people were killed and at least twelve others injured in Border Security Force firing at firing at Shadi Daram(Gool ) in Ramban district of Jammu region.
Sources said that on Thursday BSF opened fire on a group of protesters in Gool area of in which five killed and twelve injured. Unofficial reports, however, put the death toll at seven.
Sources said that BSF opened fire when thousands of residents, led by Imam of a mosque, attacked BSF camp. The residents of a village were protesting against the entry of some BSF personnel into a mosque with shoes.
Sources said that situation is tense in whole of District Ramban. Protesters set ablaze three govt. vehicles in DC complex. at Ramban . Traffic on Highway been closed by protesters at Ramban and Banihal.
According to reports reaching here that people were protesting against the firing in Doda ,Bhadrwah,Kishtwar,Banihal,Batote.
