Bilawal Bhutto not to attend chehlum of mother

ISLAMABAD,: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party  Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would not attend chehlum ceremony of his mother Benazir Bhutto as he is in Britain inpursuance of his studies.

      "Our party chairman is not expected to arrive as he is

spending his maximum (time) in his studies, which are at the moment;

his major priority than other activities," a Bilawal House Spokesman

told.

      "Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and other senior PPP elites are here to look after the party matters and they would lead the mourning processions and memorial gatherings," the spokesman added.

      Bilawal was chosen as Pakistan Peoples Party’s chairman three

days after Benazir Bhutto’s assassination during 27/12 terrorist

incident at Liaqat Bagh in Rawalpindi.

      Only 19 years of age, Bilawal is still some way from completing his education in subject of History at the prestigious Oxford University‘s Christ Church College. Bilawal’s grandfather Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and mother Benazir Bhutto had also their degrees from the same institution.

      As per party decision, Bilawal would formally take the charge as active leader after completion of his studies.

      Born in September 1988, a month before his mother was elected

as first woman prime minister of Pakistan, Bilawal adopted middle

name "Bhutto" as the PPP is considered to be "a party founded and always led by a Bhutto."
