Former US President Bill Clinton along with two prominent African-American politicians will go on tour of black churches citywide throughout Los Angeles on Sunday.
“They need to go touch the people like they did before. The bickering they got in South Carolina must be put aside,” said one of the officials that plans to join Bill Clinton on Sunday.
“Bill is going to have to come back among those who loved him and he did so much for. He is going to have to do it – I can’t do it for him – and face the voters,” continued a course. The source added by saying, “it’ll put him back in the comfort zone, and I think you’ll see [Hillary Clinton’s] numbers go up.”
Democratic hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are battling to win California on Super Tuesday.
A Clinton campaign spokesman said that Bill’s tour is not to make amends with the black community before the Super Tuesday polls.
“He’s very popular with Latinos, African-Americans, it’s absolutely not a mea culpa tour,” according to Luis Vizcaino, Clinton California spokesperson.
