Srinagar, December 9 (Scoop News) – the Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that Tyndale-Biscoe school has its separate identification and everybody of the valley desires to admit their ward in this institution for receiving qualitative education
Mir was speaking in an annual prize distribution function for middle to plus two departments held today at Tyndale-Biscoe school and the Mallinson School, Sheikh Bagh, Srinagar.
On this occasion, the Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir was the chief guest.
After awarding the awards to the meritorious students and other non-teaching staff in different categories, the Minister congratulated for completion of 130 years in the valley with meritorious performance. The Minister said that school has unique position not in the Srinagar only but also throughout the Jammu and Kashmir state. He further said that this distinguished school has to produced many brilliant students who occupied good posts not only in the state but also throughout the country.
Expressing his grief for burning down one of its branch at Tangmarg on September 13, 2010, Mir assured the management and the principal of full support from government in restoring the basic infrastructure at Tangmarg.
Complimenting the awardeees, the Minister said that these students not only brightened the name of their school and parents but also proved their metal by hard work and would be role models of other students. He prayed that the school may progress by leaps and bounds.
Earlier, welcoming the Minister, the Principal and Director, TDMS, Srinagar highlighted the annual performance of this school said that the academic results were very satisfactory showing 100 percent results. He said for secondary to higher secondary examinations this school bagged top honours in the state merit list adding that nearly 94 percent of our students at plus two level have passed with distinction. He thanked the state government for coming to the help of the school whenever required.
