Jammu, March 09, (Scoop News)- The State unit of BJP has demanded fresh detention of Masarat Alam under PSA and the same has been convey to the state Chief Minister Mufti Mohd. Sayeed. This was stated by BJP State Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi while addressing a press conference at party headquarters alongwith State Spokesperson & State Press Secretary Balbir Ram Rattan.
Sunil Sethi said that the party has taken serious view of the release of Masarat Alam and a delegation of BJP MLAs led by State General Secretary Rajiv Jasrotia (MLA) called on the Chief Minister and submitted a memorandum containing the concern of the party. He said that the party, through the memorandum has strongly opposed and rejected the decision of releasing Masarat Alam and impressed that the conduct of Masarat Alam, after his release and the statements made by him and the situation existing now, are fresh inputs to consider fresh detention of Masarat Alam under PSA immediately in the interest of the security of the state as his remaining at large anymore will be detrimental to the security of the state and worsen the security scenario.
Sethi further said that the party has also impressed that all pending FIRs against Masarat Alam, the challans of which have been presented, should be immediately investigated and challaned as per law.
As per Sethi, the members of the delegation which called on Chief Minister included MLC Vibodh Gupta, MLAs—Sat Sharma, Ajay Nanda, Dr. Gagan Bhagat, R.S. Pathania, Daleep Parihar, Shakti Parihar and Neelam Lengeh.
The memorandum reads that the government in Jammu and Kashmir was formed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in coalition with People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the national interest and appreciating the kind of fractured mandate, which the election threw up. The government was formed with the understanding that both the parties will work in unison to provide desired good governance. To iron out the modalities of running of the government and taking into account clear ideological differences, CMP was formulated, which defined the principles on which the coalition was to run. The CMP postulated the creation of “Steering Committee” at the highest level by both the parties, headed by the respective Presidents, to ensure smooth implemention of CMP.
