Jammu,March 27 (Scoop News) – BJP National Secretary, former MP and National Convenor Scams Committee Dr. Kirit Somaiya has demanded resignation of the President and Chairman of Jammu-Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) and debarring of the accused office bearer from performing the JKCA duties.
Dr. Somaiya was addressing a press conference here today alongwith BJP State Chief Spokesperson & National Executive Member Dr. Jitendra Singh who is also the J&K State Convenor of BJP scams committee.
Dr. Somaiya said that in the recent months the BJP has to its credit exposure of the massive NRHM scam in UP which paved the way for exposure in NRHM across the country. In this connection, he cited example of 108 Ambulance scam involving relations of union ministers including Kartik Chidambaram S/o Mr. P. Chidambaram, Ravi Krishan S/o Vayalar Ravi, Sachin Pilot himself, one time Rahul Gandhi’s Private Secretary Shaffi Mather and Shveta Mangal-close relative of UPA leader. The same NRHM scam has now been exposed to have its roots in Jammu and Kashmir, said Somaiya adding that while at the Centre the money was misappropriated through the purchase Ambulances, in J&K it was Asha kits which was used for manipulating purchases.
Hitting out at Omar Abdullah govt for trying to defend the scamsters, Somaiya asked why no follow up action was taken against revenue officials involved in Defence land scam and expressed apprehension that the accused were agents of NC-led government.
Referring to the JKCA scam, Somaiya demanded a CBI inquiry and said that the sports ministry should immediately intervene. He said that BJP will approach the Union Sports Minister for JKCA and Union Health Minister for JK NRHM scam.
He also referred to recently exposed coal scam at national level and held Union Energy Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde responsible for it and also PM office responsible for sanctioning additional benefits in the case.
Somaiya also announced that in next few months the BJP scam committee will expose ten major scams of Jammu and Kashmir.
