BJP extends full support to agitating Kashmiri displaced persons at Jagti

Jammu,September 5 Scoop News) – A BJP delegation led by Former State BJP Secretary Bal Krishan Koul, visited the site of agitation where the "Fast unto death" is being observed by the inmates of Jagti Township and had detailed discussions with the members of the community. The delegation told them that BJP has always fought for the cause of migrants who were forced to leave the valley in hostile circumstances where kins were killed, tortured, their property was burnt and places of worship were desecrated making it a unique example of denial of human rights. The delegation assured them that BJP feels their demands as most genuine and just. Therefore, shall take up the matter with the Government at High levels.

 

The delegation visited the township and found that the migrants living their in are being subjected to sub-human conditions. There is acute scarcity of drinking water, lack of sanitation, insufficient medical facility etc.

 

Regarding power supply, the BJP delegation found that the inmates of township are being deprived of basic necessity of light. Even on the occasion of Janmashtmi and Independence Day, there was complete Black-out. However, thanks for providing power supply on Eid. The study of students is suffering for non availability of light. Even in the scorching heat of summer, they were made to bear the same without fans etc. The delegation comprising of Roshan Lal, Kamwal Krishan and .Roop Krishan beside Bal Krishan Koul submitted a report to the Party President Sh. Shamsher Singh Manhas, General Secretary, Ashok Koul and BJP leader Chander Mohan Sharma.

 

Party will soon send a fact finding committee to make a study about the allegations of large scale bungling into the project of construction of Township and allotment of flats to the genuine effected families at Jagti, said Chander Mohan Sharma.
