BJP holds blood donation camp on its “Foundation Day”

Jammu, April 06 (Scoop News) –     To commemorate the 33rd foundation Day/Sthapna Divas of the party, Jammu & Kashmir Unit of BJP organized a blood donation camp in its headquarters premises at which several youth and senior members of the party as well as other citizens donated blood and got their blood group tested.

The camp was organized with the collaboration of Indian Red Cross Society and Department of Blood Transfusion Govt. Hospital, Gandhi Nagar.

While addressing the gathering of party activists, State President Shamsher Singh Manhas narrated a series of developments which finally led to the formation of Bharatiya Janata Party at national level under the auspicious guidance of stalwarts like Atal Behari Vajpayee, L.K. Advani, Bhairon Singh Shekhwat, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sikander Bakht and dozens of others. He said April 06 is a very significant day in the history of our party as it laid the foundation of a second largest political party in India, which succeeded in breaking the political monopoly of Indian National Congress in the country.

Veteran leader Daya Krishan Kotwal recalled his association with the organization since the days of Praja Parishad and emphasized on the ideology of the BJP.

National Executive Member Dr. Nirmal Singh called upon the party members to work for the ideals for which the BJP. 

National Executive Member & MLA Ashok Khajuria said that the party is constantly fighting against anti-national both inside the legislative assembly as well as outside.  

National Executive Member  & Chief Spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh described the holding of a voluntary blood donation camp by party’s Yuva Morcha on BJP’s foundation day as being symbolically significant since it is in keeping with the party’s commitment of selfless service to society. 

State Convenor of Morcha & Cells Chander Mohan Sharma recited the poetry written by Atal Behari Vajpayee, one of the prominent founding members of the party.

BJP District President Rajesh Gupta, while appreciating the commitment of party cadre for their untiring efforts in devoting their precious time and even lives to strengthen the nationalist forces, said that it is the real treasure of our party. 

Mahila Morcha State President Sakina Bano said that the women activists of the party too has been contributing equally towards reaching the masses with a motive to educate them about the principles and policies of the party.

The blood donation camp was held under the supervision of Secretary Indian Red Cross Society Anil Padha and Senior Pathologist Dr. S.L. Fotra.
