BJP hopes people of Jammu province would give their full support to BJP in comming polls

September 19- Taking the successive governments in the state and the Congress and National Conference to task for pursuing out anti-Jammu policies,BJP State President  Ashok Khajuria said the prevailing discontent and disaffection in Jammu province is the fall-out of their bias against it.

Addressing Swabhimaan Rallies at Vijaypur and Samba, he said the recent agitation in Jammu over the Amarnath Land issue has dramatically changed the whole situation and that the BJP sincerely believes that the angry and alienated people of Jammu province would give their full support to the BJP, which has resolved not only to get their grievances redressed, but also to obtain for them an important position in the State’s political setup.

Ashok Khajuria hailed the initiative of the renowned Delhi-based intellectuals, including former diplomats, senior editors, and ex-top ranking military officials, designed to neutralized the baneful influence of those in the country who have virtually joined the Kashmiri-separatists and demanded independence for Kashmir from India. He said the manner in which they have put things in proper prospective must make the authorities in New Delhi to adopt a clear cut stand on Jammu and Kashmir, which acceded to India as per the law on the subject. He declared that the BJP would never allow the separation of Kashmir from India.

  Former President and senior leader of BJP  Dr. Nirmal Singh exposed the anti-Jammu approach of the Congress and said that the collapse of the Ghulam Nabi Azad-led government was a good riddance. He said it was this government which created more districts in Kashmir ignoring the legitimate claim of the people of Jammu. He said Jammu should have been given 8 additional districts, as compared to Kashmir’s four because Jammu is far more superior in terms of land areas  and voters. He also lambasted the Congress led government saying that it betrayed the people of Jammu by not setting up a delimitation commission. He said the fact is that the Congress led government wanted to increase the difference in the number of assembly seats  from the existing 9 to 12 with a view to further jeopardizing the Jammu’s legitimates political interests. He, like Ashok Khajuria and Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, urged the people to use the forthcoming elections as a great opportunity to punish the Congress, NC and the PDP for their betrayal and several acts of commission and commission

 Former Union home Minister Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta drew the attention of the people to the miserable plight and all-round degeneration and said all this establishes that those who ruled the state since 1947 have consistently excluded the people of Jammu province from all walks of life. He blamed the Jammu based Congress, NC and PDP leaders for not promoting the cause of Jammu and added that it is because of their negligence that the people of Jammu province have been virtually reduced to a nullity. He said the only way the people of Jammu could gain political power in the state is by rejecting all those who ruled the state or shared power with their masters and by making common cause with the BJP, which has made the political power for Jammu its main poll plank.

 Senior leeaderDayas Krishan Kotwal informed the audience that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is deteriorating by each passing day and that it is incumbent on the people of Jammu province to get ready for a full scale campaign against forces inimical to India and those who have been deliberately pursuing anti-Jammu policies, he said the BJP is not opposed to Kashmir but added that it wants a dispensation which is fair and impartial.
