on December 23 and 24 to participate in series of functions, including delibrations
upon the political and security situation in J&K, role of both State and
UPA governments in meeting the challenges and Maha Rally on 24 at Prade Ground.
BJP
State President Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the top dignitaries include
National President Nitin Gadkari, L. K. Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley,
and Chief Ministers/ Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP ruling states.
Leaders
will delibrate on major issues of political and security nature being faced by Jammu
and Kashmir, especially in view of the Omar Abdullah- led government’s changing
stand on various issues governing the relationship of Jammu and Kashmir with
Union of India, he said, adding that the top brass of the party will also hold
discussions with the local leadership on issues like continued discrimination
of Jammu province by the government on matters of allotment of funds,
employment and developmental activities. Besides other important matters like delimitation
of assembly constituencies, infiltration, compensation to victims,
transporters, traders and businessmen during
2008 Amarnath land row and the challenges posed by state government’s
rehabilitation policy of those militants, who had received armed training in
Pakistan and PoK since 1990 and were still continuing to live across the border
.Issues of unemployment and citizenship

the State Chief Minister for falling in the trap of secessionist and semi-secessionist
forces, Manhas said that Omar Abdullah has been taking steps one after another
which were harming the interests not only of common citizens of the state but
also posing threat to national security. Beginning with controversial statement
on the floor of House that J&K had not merged with India, Omar Abdullah
took a cabinet decision to bring back the trained militants staying in Pakistan
and PoK and rehabilitate them in the state, Manhas said adding his latest
decision of demilitarizing Srinagar city by reducing the number of security
forces and removing bunkers too has come under the attack from the army
authorities.
BJP
chief said that it was unfortunate that Congress-led UPA at the centre has been
endorsing his every stand without realizing the dangerous consequences these
could have on the integrity and sovereignty of the country.
