BJP to gherao Indian Home Minister in Jammu on February 17

Jammu,February 15 (Scoop News)-  The move of the Union Government of India collaboration with the State government to facilitate return and rehabilitation of the militants is a dangerous step with grave security repercussions. This was said by BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas while addressing media persons at party headquarters on Monday. 

He said the reported move of the UPA will only make anti-national activities lucrative and a way to windfall gains. This would also encourage and raise the morale of anti-national elements and demoralize the security forces and nationalist people in the state, he said.

Manhas said that the BJP was never against any dialogue with the Pakistan but it did not succumb to any external pressure or compromise on the sovereignty of the country over Jammu and Kashmir. He said it was the same UPA which suspended talks with Pakistan after 26/11 with the condition to restart the same only when the guilty persons behind the Mumbai attacks and sitting in Pakistan were punished. One cannot understand as to what development has taken place which is forcing the UPA to resume talks with it. He said one concession after other to separatists and militants exposes the weak kneed foreign policy and lack of determination to confront the anti-national forces decisively and resolutely. Why the UPA or the NC-Congress coalition has no concern for the lakhs of educated unemployed youth, price rise, poverty and other public related issues, he questioned

Further commenting on the surrender policy, the BJP Chief said that the refugees from West Pakistan and Kashmiri migrants from valley do not produce the pangs of pain and remorse in the UPA as well as the NC-Congress coalition who are always on look out for helping and benefitting those elements whose mental orientation is anti-India and in the present case, who had crossed over to PoK to take up arms and return back to state and create mayhem and destruction through terrorism. He disclosed that BJP senior leaders, all the 11 MLAs alongwith thousands of party activists, to be led by leader of Legislative Party Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, will gherao the visiting Union Home Minister P. Chidambram on 17 February, who is coming here to work out the nitty -gritty of the Surrender Policy with the state’s NC-Congress coalition.

Manhas said that the BJP has taken strong exception of the scheduled Secretary level talks to be resumed on February 25 over the Kashmir issue and disclosed that the party has decided to organize nation wide programmes on this day to educate the people of the grave implications and the dangers inherent in this policy of the UPA. In this connection, he told the reporters that BJP National President Shri Nitin Gadkari will address a massive public rally at Jammu on the Kashmir Issue and the total surrender of the UPA before the anti-national elements.
