Jammu, September 26, (Scoop News)- BJP Mahila Morcha, continuing its activism on all planes, including at social level, the activists of the morcha under the leadership of its State President Priya Sethi, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Pt. Deendayal Upadhayaya inspired and motivated a large number ladies to open bank accounts under “Pradhanmantri Jan Dan Yojana” in the entire Jammu province. This campaign was undertaken on the birth anniversary of Pt. Deendayal Upadhayaya by the Mahila Morcha at the national level and the state Mahila Morcha also pitched in to make it a grand success in the state also. Apart from motivating and explaining the feeling of Narendra Modi behind this scheme of giving a sense of involvement to the every person of the country in the national financial system, the morcha activists also rendered all help in completing the formalities of account opening.
On the occasion, addressing her office bearers and activists, Priya Sethi said that the scheme is going to be a milestone in the upliftment and advancement of the poor people, especially the female folk in the country. The ladies in rural areas and downtrodden section of the urban societies do not feel like being equal in the progress and advancement of the society. Any progress made at the family level, at the village level or at the state level is treated as being achievement of the men folk only and ladies have not been able to feel and claim to be equal contributors in this task and this “Pradhanmantri Jan Dan Yojana” is one of the pioneering step of BJP government at the Centre.
In Jammu and Jammu West districts the accounts were got opened in various colonies especially by people of low income groups. The yojana was also activated by the Mahila Morcha in Akhnoor, Kathua, R.S. Pura, Rajouri, Nowshera and other places.
Kamla Gupta Anuradha Charak, Neeru Anand, Anju Dogra, Monika Khosla, Parveen Arora, Sanjita Dogra, Radha Sharma, Bimla Padha, Sushma Manhas, Updesh Andotra, Monika Bhagat, Poonam Sharma, Neena Gupta helped the women at the said places in getting their accounts opened.
