BJP’s Jan Jagran Yatra against corruption, black money, price rise

Jammu, November 07 (Scoop News)- On the 6th day of party’s “Jan Jagran Yatra”, two among them launched from Hiranagar and Samba reached Kishanpur, where a massive public rally was addressed by BJP State President Sghamsher Singh Manhas, National Executive Member & MLA Jammu East Ashok Khajuria, State Vice-President Chander Prakash Ganga, State General Secretaries Satish Sharma, Sat Sharma (C.A.) and Usha Choudhary and other senior leaders accompanying these yatras.

Shamsher Singh Manhas, in his address, said that in response to the clarion call of BJP against corruption, black money, price rise and several issues confronting Jammu and Kashmir, the people in large are turning up in  rallies, which is an indicator that they all are fed up by the anti-people, anti-youth, anti-farmer and anti-poor policies of the government and endorse the demand of BJP that “CM should step down”. He said how much the Omar-led coalition government is against Jammu is clear from the fact that farmers of Jammu are forced to sell their crop harvest at lower rates to the middlemen in absence of procurement centres, which exist in all the other states. Not only this, our neighbouring state Himachal Pradesh has set up small  projects which produce electricity and improves economic lot of the people as well. Ex-Srvicemen too are not happy with the state government as VAT to the tune of 12.5 per cent has been levied on CSD canteens, thus adding to their problems, he added and appealed the people to strengthen the hands of the BJP in its crusade against corruption, price rise and discrimination with Jammu region..

Ashok Khajuria, said that the problems in the Kandi areas are more complex as the farmers in particular have to depend on rains water for irrigational purposes. If there are less  rains or floods, in both cases a farmer suffers. He said that the government should  frame special policy for the kandi area farmers so that they are compensated in case of loss to their crops. He said that Nagrota  assembly constituency is spread over a very large area. This constituency was represented by the sitting BJP MLA in the previous term also and a lot of work has been done. After independence this constituency returned leaders of National Conference and Congress for most of the terms. These leaders reached the people only for getting their votes and never visited them to take stock of their problems and fulfill their promises. Our MLA has created the record by winning for the second consecutive term because the people have themselves realized that their representative belonging to BJP has been working for the masses while all the earlier MLAs betrayed them as a result of which whole of Nagrota remained most backward before BJP MLA was elected.

Chander Prakash Ganga said that the Congress-led UPA has set new records in corrupt practices. It has added to the woes of a common Indian citizen by making steep rise in the prices of petrol, diesel, LPG, Kerosene oil and other essential items. This UPA has failed in tackling domestic prolems as well as the problems created by the neighbouring countries like Pakistan and China in particular.

State General Secretaries Satish Sharma, Sat Sharma (C.A) and Usha Choudhary said that the state government has enough funds for wasteful spending on the luxuries  of Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers and bureaucrats but for the pensioners and even employees  it has always come out with an excuse of paucity of funds, which is misleading and aimed at  escaping the wrath of the people. They said that our Chief Minister, who has failed to come up to the expectatrions of the people, has been making such utterances which provoke the people of Kashmir and the idea behind all this is to prove that NC is more concerned for the separatists and anti-national elements as compared to the PDP. The CM and his ministerial colleagues talk of  development, equal treatment to Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh, but on ground the situation is same.

Earlier, the yatra led by Shamsher Singh Manhas started this morning from Ramkote and passed through Khoon, Behma, Pardai, Battal and Manwal. The other yatra led by Ashok Khajuria this morning started from Nagrota and covered Nagrota town, Sagoon, Dansal, Kah-Pata and Surinsar.

This rally  was  also addressed by Suraj Padha, Dina Nath Bhagat, Munish Sharma, Aseem Gupta, Subhash Bhagat and Nand Kishore Sharma.
