Captain Kurotsuchi Mayuri of Squad 12, also the head of science of research is having a head on match up with Szayel, the Espada. As he thought that Szayel was done with after Kurotsuchi very different Bankai power, Szayel revived and seeming regenerated from Nemu’s body.
Nemu, being the vice captain of Kurotsuchi was surpising a store of various drugs. Unknown to Szayel, he had been drugged with a superhuman power after regenerating from Nemu’s body after grabbing Nemu with its feeler earlier on before he was tore off by Kurotsuchi’s Bankai. It does seem to have too much of the superhuman drug and every movement he sees became slow. The episode ended with Kurotsuchi going for the pierce with his sword into Szayel’s body.
