KISHOREGANJ, Dec 31: Awami League activists allegedly attacked the houses of local BNP men in Kuliarchar and Katiadi upazilas of the district on Tuesday midnight and Wednesday morning, leaving 12 injured.
Shariful Alam, candidate for four-party alliance from Kishoreganj-6, alleged that 20/30 cadres attacked the house of Nityalal Das, BNP President of Ward no-3, at Daspara in Kuliarchar pourasava at about 5 am.
The gang was led by Abul Mansur Rubel, who is the younger brother of AL President of Kuliarchar upazila unit Abul Hossain Liton, he alleged.

The attackers ransacked the house and hacked him, leaving him critically injured. They also beat up his mother, sister and wife when they tried to save Nityalal.
Nityalal was admitted to Zahurul Islam Medical College Hospital from where he was shifted to Dhaka with deteriorating condition.
The same gang later attacked the houses of BNP leaders Anil Chandra Ghosh and Shahed Members at Laxmipur village in the same upazila and beat them up. They ransacked and looted valuables of the houses.
Local police said they did not receive any complaint in this connection till this morning.
Six BNP men were injured in another attack by AL workers at Parbacharparatala village in Katiadi upazila on Tuesday midnight.
Four of the injured were admitted to local upazila health complex in critical condition.
In Khulna, the lone elected MP from BNP in the district, Nazrul Islam Manju, on Wednesday urged the Awami League leaders to spot their activists from attacking the supporters of the four-party alliance in his constituency.
He alleged that at least 10 BNP and Jamaat supporters were injured in separate attacks by the AL activists in different parts of the city, including Mailapata, Labonchhora and Raimohar areas under his constituency Khulna-2, since the announcement of Monday”s polls results.
At a press conference in local press club in the afternoon, he also blamed the AL activists for attacking and ransacking the houses of some BNP leaders and BNP offices in his areas.
According to Manju, of the injured, Salahuddin, Habib and Rafique were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
The BNP leader said he has already lodged complains to the Chief Election Commissioner, local police commissioner and local police stations in this connection.
Manju, who defeated AL candidate Mizanur Rahman marginally in the election, sought his (Mizanur) co-operation along side City Mayor Talukdar Abdul Khalek to refrain AL men from such attacks.
In Natore, the activists of Awami League allegedly attacked the house of a local BNP leader at Dahia village in Singra upazila on Wednesday, leaving at least 10 people injured.
Police said a group of AL activists first swooped on the house of local BNP leader Mizan Master in the evening and ransacked it.
The attackers also beat up Mizan Master and nine others with iron rod and sticks as they tried to resist them from vandalism.
Shafi, Samad, Abdur Rahman, Mintu and Nasir were among the injured.
On information, army and police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
