In eastern Afghanistan a bomb exploded in roadside kills seven people in a van and nine others were wounded.
Officials said the incident which happened in Sabari district in Khost province, a roadside bomb exploded near a van carrying civilians.
In Khost, restless area with regular clashes between US-led NATO forces and the Taliban militants. In a bomb attack in Khost two Nato soldiers were killed in last month.
Zemarai Bashary the Afghanistan Interior ministry spokesman told that an "improvised explosive device planted by the enemies of the people of Afghanistan that hit the vehicle". He said "As a result seven civilians, including a woman, were killed and nine other civilians wounded" in the attack.
In recent months in the Khost there have also been a number of suicide attacks, most of them claimed by the Taliban militants group.
