PESHAWAR: A roaring explosion occured on Friday night in front of the house of leader of nationalist party Awami National Party (ANP)and ex-Federal Minister for Anti-Norcotics Nawabzada Khwaja Mohammad Khan Hoti in the northwestern part of Pakistan.
"A huge explosion occured in a video and CDs shop situated near the ex-federal minister Mr. Hoti here in Chato Chowk of district Mardan," a policeman of the Hoti police station told this correspondent. He said the blast occured due to self made bomb, that was planted near the video and CDs shop. "No casualty reported in the blast, however the entire CDs center including equipments, cds, video casettes and other items were completely destroyed due to the roaring blast of the explosive," the policeman added.
"The entire bazar including the targeted CDs shop was already closed and no public rush was there due to the electritiy breakdown at the time of explosion," the eyewitneses said. They further said that after the blast the bomb disposal squade and the police investigative team. Police collected some evidence and started investigations.
On the other hand, ex-Federal Minister for Anti-Narcotics Khwaja Hoti condmned the blast near his house. "I will continue my struggle for peace in Pushtoon area," Mr. Hoti told this correspondent.
