Even before Senator Barack Obama of Illinois clinched the Democratic nomination, many had fallen into the allure and excitement of “Obamania” or “Obama Fever.” Back in early May, Obama was overwhelmed by journalists that wanted his attention while walking around the US Congress. Senator Hillary Clinton of New York was at the US Congress a day earlier trying to find a party official to meet with her.
Both Democrats and Republicans had been infected by Obama Fever. However, presumed GOP nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona was not one of them.
With Obama now the presumptive Democratic nominee, expect a flood of books about him to be released in the summer and the fall. There are books about Obama for all age groups. The book publishers are milking Obama Fever for every cent that it is worth.
Obama himself has two books that have been released and still remain on the bestseller lists: “Dreams from My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope.”
“Dreams of My Father” is the memoir of Obama about being the son of a Kenyan father and an American mother. It tells the story about Obama in his youth.
“The Audacity of Hope” is a book that talks about the need to return to the principles of the United States Constitution.
These are just two of Obama’s books. But expect a wave of books about Obama to be released in the near future.
This September, “Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope” by Nikki Grimes and Bryan Collier will be released. This is the first of Obama-themed children’s books.
“Yes We Can” by Garen Thomas, is another Obama-themed children’s book. This book is set to be released on June 24. This is for grades 3rd to 6th. This book goes through the life of Obama as he tried to fit in with his peers at school.
“Barack Obama in His Own Words” looks to be released in the next few days. This book is a collection of quotes made by the presumptive Democratic nominee. These quotes give an in-depth look on where Obama stands on such issues.
“The Faith of Barack Obama” by Stephen Mansfield, is set to be released this July. This book is about Obama’s political and religious views.
There are examples of several books about presumed Democratic nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois that will be released soon enough. Whether you love or dislike Barack Obama, be prepared to see all sorts of Obama-themed books everywhere.
In the case of presumed GOP nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona, perhaps his campaign and supporters can find some information in these soon to be released books as ammunition against Obama in the future.
