Jammu, March 30 (Scoop News)- “PDP has got frustrated on seeing the performance and people-friendly measures initiated by the Government and are resorting to gimmicks to hide their previous failures”, said senior National Conference leader and MLC Ajay Sadotra.,
Addressing a press conference in Jammy today, Sadhotra today lambasted the Peoples Democratic Party for its anti-people policies and whipping up the public sentiments on frivolous issues. He said that the gimmicks of PDP reflects bankruptcy of its policies and extreme dejection after losing the power which her termed as the source of frustration of the PDP leadership.
While coming down heavily on PDP for trying to criticize the Government, Sadotra, said that the people-friendly measures and policies have even been ratified by the Planning Commission of India which have been liberal to provide the necessary funds.
Sadotra, said that PDP has been rendered issueless and hence its leadership was trying to divert the public attention by floating various ideas. He said that they are trying to cover up their fiscal mismanagement by bringing to fore various non issues.” This has been their favourite posture even since they lost the reins of power, he said.
He said by resorting to walkouts in the House, PDP was trying to hoodwink its failures and misdeeds, committed in its regime. He accused the PDP of violating the budget code by misappropriating whooping sum of Rs. 2004 crores. This financial mismanagement, which is being investigated by the Finance Minister, has created ripples in the PDP leadership.
Sadotra, said that the party has got frustrated by the effective governance of the Government and especially young and dynamic Chief Minister, who by his people-friendly policies has become quite popular.
Sadhotra also allayed the allegations that Chief Minister has been seldom attending the sittings of Legislative Assembly. Contrary to this, Chief Minister attended the House umpteen times as is evident from the records. Moreover, by using modern communication gadgets, the Chief Minister is 24-hours available to the public and legislators to listen their problems and grievances, he added.
