Mumbai, India (GroundReport) – It is now 1:25 pm in Mumbai and there are reports emerging of fresh firing at the CST train terminal and at the Taj hotel as the terror attacks on Mumbai runs well into its 40th hour.
Commando units have positioned themselves around both locations that were previous targets in the attacks in the city that began on Wednesday. Ambulences have moved into position at the Taj. Security forces have asked media crews to keep low as they make a new attempt to flush out terrorists.
However, TV reports say that rumors of fresh firing at the CST railway station are unconfirmed and railway police have denied those rumors.
Commandos have also advised TV channles to go off the air. Analysts say this may be to isolate the terrorists from obtaining news about security and rescue operations.
Reports say that one terrorist is moving about near the dance floor of the Old Taj building. And there are suspected to be two hostages in the Taj.
A woman and child trapped in the Nariman House, reports say. There is fresh firing at the Narinam House as well, say TV reports.
Commandos report that terrorists had credit cards, grenades and magazines as ammunition, and dry fruits with them. They were also "determined and remorseless," according to commando units.
Three Americans are believed to be injured, say news reports.
