A new survey by the RSPCA has found that half of these pets are obese.They have found that half of the Britain’s cats and dogs are becoming fat. So time has come for the UK’s cats and dogs to start shedding the pounds. The charity has now launched the Pets Get Slim website – www.petsgetslim.co.uk – and road show. The website would give pet owners help and motivation.
Joe Inglis, a television vet, insists that the time has come to get the country’s pets back into shape.
Action needs to be taken. A weight problem can affect a pet’s quality of life and lead to straining of the joints, as well as internal illnesses like diabetes, liver disease and heart disease.
