BRITISH GOVERNMENT TO SNEAK UP ON SEXUAL LIFE OF ITS CITIZENS
Continuing the “Big Brother” policy, the British Government has planned to look into
personal and intimate(sexual life) relations of its citizens and other common people
working or living there by appointing inspectors.
Biometric identity cards, surveillance cams everywhere and national DNA database are
already in place and still developing, but now alongwith this,British Govt.is preparing a
questionnaire asking about sexual relations, what measures they adopt to prevent
pregnancy,etc.
Inspectors will collect sexual life information of more than 5 lac people every year. The
questionnaire will include questions about sexual relations ans income
sources.According to daily mail,Inspectors will also try to find about relations before
marriage, how much time they stayed together with someone before marriage
irrespective of the fact whether they had any child or not from that relationship. They will
also ask how much time they spent with their present husband before marriage.
This questionnaire by National Statistics comprises of about 2000
questions.Resentment and unrest has already gebun among the masses.According to
people it is direct violation of the right to individual privacy which is of utmost importance
to everyone;particularly when such type of information (names, addresses, details of
intimate relations, etc.)is public accessible. The details about infants, children and kids will
also be recorded.
The reason given by the Govt. is that Govt.should have every information of its
citizens.People are questioning about the motive of all this non-sense(as they call
it).People say these could be used a tool of blackmailing someone by those having
acces to all this database.Apart from sex life questions will be also asked about
tobacco, alcohol consumption and other habbits and hobbies.
A Govt. spokesman has now clarified that all data will be stored at Statistics Deptt.
Computers at Newport,South Wales Headquarters. They will remain in safe hands and
no public access will be allowed except in exceptional circumstances and that too by the
Government.
