British should take care of its own affairs & not poke nose in others :BJP

Jammu, July 10 – J&K BJP State President Ashok Khajuria, condemned the statement made by David Miliband, the British Foreign Minister, that Kashmir people should be taken into confidence and their sentiments be considered by India and Pakistan while settling Kashmir dispute.

While addressing a press conference in Jammu on Friday Ashok Khajuria said, this type of stand amounts to interference in the sovereignty of a country. He said the British government should take care of its own affairs and not poke nose in others affairs. The BJP wants to make it clear to the UK government that ours is a super power country and self-sufficient to tackle any situation.

He said that while signing Shimla Agreement this mistake was corrected when a declaration was signed by both the countries that it is bilateral issue and will be resolved without intervention of any third force. Parliament of India has already passed a resolution specifying the dispute between India and Pakistan in 1994 when it was specifically said that "the dispute between India and Pakistan is only dispute with regard to Pak occupied Kashmir which India wants back". Hence, BJP is committed to the resolution of the Parliament and appeal the Central government to take effective steps to get the resolution implemented. The BJP reiterates its stand that Pakistan should be declared a Terrorist state in view of confession made by none other than the Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari that they supported militants and the same are now troubling them.

BJP State spokesperson Ramesh Arora was also present in the press conference.
