U.S. pop diva Britney Spears’ new album, "Blackout," notched the No. 1 position in both the European album charts and U.S. digital album charts. Spears has also sold more digital albums than any other female artist in a first week of release, Jive Records reported. Opening at No. 2 this week on the U.S. albums chart, Spears has become "the only woman whose first five studio albums have debuted in the top two slots on the chart," said Billboard magazine.
