Shanwinder Kaur married to Suresh Kumar 2 years back.It was a love marriage and the family of the couple would not accept this marriage.However after sometime the groom’s family accept the couple.
Shanwinder belongs to a lower caste community while Suresh belongs to upper cast community. Shanwinder’s brother Sarabjit barged into the couple’s house and killed both of them.Suresh died at the spot, Shanwinder died in the hospital.
This incident happened at Gajjukhera village of Patiala district of Punjab Province of India last Saturday.
This type of killing honored as honor killing in some part of India where marriage against family wishes considered being crime and often the bride or groom killed by their family member or sometime their family members killed both.
