The event will be in Heisler Park straight down Myrtle Street in the grass picnic area in Laguna Beach.The cost is $20.00, this will benefit the Auxiliary "Championship Season" which is part of the MCN Ministries. This is a program that provides services to the homeless from Laguna Beach to Skid Row, Los Angeles. MCN Ministries is a 501-c-3 non-profit. Participants may pay the morning of the event. There will be lots of Fun, fellowship, and "Yoga in the Park" all for a good cause. There will be many events in Orange County and Los Angeles through the Month of October, benefiting this cause.
The MCN Ministries is blessed to support a program called Championship Season. This provides nutritional needs and spiritual needs to those who cannot afford the basic care for children ranging from the age to new born to 13 years of age. MCN is a ministry that knocks down the borders of every country to give the endless love of Christ-spreading the true meaning of the love of God-embracing the meaning of eternity.
The Ministry has a large gathering of homeless families, from Orange County to Skid Row LA, together the population is over 220,000. The poor we will always have, yet we cannot turn our backs to the reality that is in our own backyards. I spent the majority of my childhood/teenage years on the streets and do not hide that from anyone. I have been blessed with the truth of tribulations, and have been blessed to bring experiences to improve each heart that goes from the streets to a new life with the Lord.Nikki Sotto Affleck came to yoga in 1998 as a way to escape the competitive world of a professional dancer. Through yoga she learned that the mind, body, spirit connection that yoga provides is truly the dance of life, and now loves to share that knowledge with her students. Nikki’s has completed the Yoga Works 500hour TT in New York. She is also proud to have her BA in Political science, and to work full time as the Events Manager for Yoga Works.
