Social networking site, Facebook will carry e-commerce stores on user’s webpages.
According to published reports, BSocial Networks unveiled Market Lodge – an application that will allow Facebook user’s to come up with their own e-commerce stores on their personal webpage.
And users can select from a myriad of more than 1000 products from about 50 retailers to sell on their miniature stores. Users will acquire a 10 percent revenue for each sold product, while social network’s are entitled to a 35 percent to 50 percent of the selling price.
The advantage to retailers is the exposure to more than 50 million consumers on Facebook, without having to pay for advertising.
