Budding Actress Dipty Gharat Opens her Heart

Dipty Gharat, a budding marathi actress who is presently seen in a popular TV series that is aired on the national channel. “Nanda Prem Bhare” is a series in which Veteran Actor Mr.Vikram Gokhale and his wife Vrushali Gokhale play a lovely couple who advise young married couples about how to sail beautifully through highs and lows of their relationship. Dipty Gharat plays a young wife’s part in the series.

She has come a long way to bag this prestigious role with such an honourable actor. Her episodes have started being aired. She shares her experience, likes and dislikes with us.

1. Tell us something about yourself?

I am a cute, talkative ,self-disciplined  and hardworking girl. I started my acting career when I was growing up from the esteemed Prithvi Theatre. Then went on to work with Marathi Superstar Bharat Jadhav in my first film Namdar Mukhyamantri Ganpya Gawde. At present I am working with the Veteran and Legendary actor Mr. Vikram Gokhale in a Marathi serial.

2. You have even done few plays. So any acting aspirations for films?

Yes, as I said earlier I started my acting career from theatre. I have done a lot of English, Hindi and Marathi plays including one self -composition which was staged at the highly respected Prithvi Theatre as part of their theatre festival called Dhamaal. I definitely want to venture into films both Bollywood and Regional . As Films are an extension of theatre.

3. Does your family support your career decision?

Yes, they are constantly motivating and encouraging me. Besides they are my first audience and best critics.

4. Who is your role model?

I would definitely consider  legendary self made Superstar Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan as my role models. Nevertheless, the list would be incomplete without the names of two of my favorite actresses Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai whom I grew up admiring.

5. What goals have you set for the future?

To work in as many good movies with good actors both in Hindi, Marathi and may be down South.

6. How do you cope up with the stress from work?

Reading books and listening to Music are great stress busters for me.

7. Your hobbies?

My Hobbies are Writing, Reading, Singing and Dancing.

8. Favourite food.

Home made Peas Pulav, Puran Poli and Mutton Biryani.

9. Favourite holiday destination.

Anywhere near the Beach. I love the Sea.

10. Greatest achievements so far?

I have won  a Personality Contest when I was in School. My poems have been published in reputed Newspapers right from my childhood. I have won lot of awards for my academics. Felicitation from the Home Minister Mr. R.R. Patil on the premiere of my First Film.

I am a student of the University of Mumbai. My subjects include Psychology, English Literature and Journalism. I have done a short e-course in Shakespearen Comedies offered by the University of Washinghton. I know French, Spanish on a intermediate level. I am fluent in Hindi, Marathi and Sanskrit.
