Jammu, March 10, (Scoop News)-Raising the issue of poor connectivity within the Secretariat and the Legislature Complex, the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari, Tuesday directed the concerned officers to identify a place for erecting a mobile tower in the Secretariat, while also taking steps to upgrade the nearest tower in the area so that the problem of poor connectivity is addressed at the earliest.
The directions were given by the Minister, while discussing issues related to mobile and internet connectivity with the Chief General Manager BSNL, R. N. Sudhakar here at the Civil Secretariat.
The meeting was also attended by Commissioner Secretary GAD, Mohammad Ashraf Bukhari, Law Secretary, Mohammad Ashraf Mir and Secretary Legislative Assembly, M. Ramzan, General Manger TD, Atul Sharma and General Manager Admin. J&K Circle, A. K. Garg
Highlighting the importance of better telecommunication in this hi-tech day and age, the Minister shared his views about the importance of better connectivity to the people across the State.
Also discussed in the meeting were the issues regarding power network connectivity in different areas in both the regions of the State, regarding which the Minister directed the concerned officers for the formation of a committee to identify and assess the functional status of mobile towers in such areas and to provide feedback in the follow-up meeting.
